Founded in 1981 in Plano, TX by Dr. Richard Chapman, Plano Family Dental has been serving our community for over 40 years.Founded on the principles of honesty, integrity and building relationships, Plano Family Dental has served generations of our neighbors in Plano, TX and our surrounding cities of Dallas, McKinney, Allen, Richardson among others.
As a family owned office we get the privilege of building relationships with families that last generations. We continue that commitment of always putting your interests first and only provide recommendations that are absolutely needed. In a world of private equity backed corporate offices, our humble office might be an enigma but we are proud to be a locally owned and operated office. Times may change but our values will not.

Your First Visit
Here’s what you can expect.
Our team will greet you warmly and help you get settled in our inviting office. Feel free to grab a drink from our complimentary beverage station and pick out amenities from our comfort menu to ensure a relaxing experience.
You will meet with Dr. Joseph to speak about your medical history. If you have any dental questions or concerns, feel free to share them with him. Your comfort is important to us – we want you to ask questions!
Next, your dentist will provide a thorough analysis of your teeth, gums, and mouth, and also examine your x-rays. This is a no-risk way to uncover exactly how we can help you. Want a second opinion? No problem. You can get a copy of your examination results as well as x-rays.
We'll work with you to create a personalized treatment plan and discuss any insurance or financing options that may be available. If you have any concerns any step of the way, let us know! We’re here to make sure your care fits with your budget and lifestyle.

Dr. Joseph also actively contributes to the McKinney Education Foundation by serving on its Grants and Scholarship Committees, where he helps provide vital support to teachers and students. As a former recipient of the MEF scholarship during his senior year at McKinney North High School, Dr. Joseph deeply understands the impact these scholarships can have, having personally benefited from one that significantly eased his college expenses.
